Ah! The rain. Isn't it lovely here in East Texas? We sure did need it. The season change is finally here, I hope. You never know in this part of Texas.
The good news is, I am making great progress on my novel, An Unlikely Arrangement. It's very exciting to see it coming together. The end of the year is my target date and I think I will make it.
Another note is, I have a writing partner and the project we've been working on together for several years is almost complete. To say the least, it has been a lesson in patience and understanding. Have any of you worked with a partner and collaborated on a project? Then, you know the challenges involved. Jeannie and I have very different writing styles and to mesh those together has been interesting. Yes, we are still friends and you will be glad to know, we have found a common ground. I'm excited to announce we are on the verge of releasing a fan page and a blog for this project. We have learned so much just researching on the internet and asking advice of other established authors. Oh, we are still novices, compared to many out there, but what fun we are having and what wonderful friends we have found through this process. Writers are the best people.
Along with my personal novel and the collaboration, I also have a WIP that involves a collection of stories. These will be based on a childhood gone wrong and the way I survived it. It will be a different view of the problems and hopefully will give courage and optimism to the readers.
I am happy to be busy with all these projects.
I wish I could have participated in NaNoWriMo this year. 2007 was the last time I entered that writing world. It was fun and I did finish and won the certificate. Alas, my plate it too full this year.
I look forward to the day when I can announce some exciting news to all of you.
Talk to you next week!
