Since I last posted..... 12/30/2010
A smile fleetingly crosses my face as I write this. Did time really pass by so quickly? I was so full of resolve to keep my blog going weekly, and as you can tell by my archives, I didn't. So here we are at the end of the year, and I can only hope to make a promise to myself to do better. On a more positive note, I have accomplished a few goals this year. One...I was published on Angie's Diary! This is an on-line magazine and submissions must be accepted and approved. I've actually had four works published on her site. Many positive comments and encouraging words have come from these publications. I'm working hard on a sequel to the story of Lola. I should be able to submit it at the first of the year. You don't know about Lola? Check out my LINKS on this site or go to my Fan Page on Facebook. All the links are posted there, as well. Angie is wonderful to give new writers a chance to publish. I hope you will check out my stories. There are more than a few anxious for the next adventure of Lola. I'm so close to the finish of An Unlikely Arrangement. Year's end was suppose to be my target, and I won't be too far off of that. The story got side-tracked a bit, and I rewrote a scene which changed the outcome. Has anyone ever done that? Also in the works is the book I am writing with my partner. We've joined a critique group which has proved to be a god-send. So many good suggestions and encouragments. It has truly been eye-opening! We will all be together for New Year's Eve! A fun time is planned. No shop talk! We also acquired a dog this year! It was purchased for my 18 year old grandson. He lived with us for five years and a few weeks after the purchase he decided to move to Oregon. The dog stayed here. Not in my plan, but I've become decidedly attached to him. He's a cream lab and is six months old now. Sweet and beautiful animal. Could be a new story in the works on the subject! At the close of this year, I feel good about what I have accomplished and am excited to face a new year with new goals. CommentsLeave a Reply | AuthorLiving in Texas and writing is my passion.
